The Local Economic Development Project on “Supporting Rice-Paddy Community “, implementing by the Rural Development Bank was adjudged winner of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) award 2009.
The project was highly recommendation of Samdech Prime Miniter HUN Sen and strongly support of H.E. Mr. KEAT Chhun, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance and the Supreme National Economic Council.

This recognition award was given on April 28, 2009 in Muscat, Oman at the ADFIAP AWARD night during the 32nd ADFIAP Annual Meeting which attended by 100 Micro Finance Institutions and Banks from 40 countries, and was presided over by H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council.

In 2006, the Rural Development Bank also received the ADFIAP Award for its performance led to a successful linkage between SME and Microfinance in Malai District, Banteay Meanchey province.
