RDB goal and Vision
RDB’s vision is to finance and refinance to licensing f inancial institutions, small and medium
enterprises, and community based associations in rural and urban areas in order to build them
to be Self-Help, Self-Management and Self-Responsibility.
Mission
RDB is an autonomous specialized bank supporting the national economic, which delivers
credit for the promotion of rural agricultural enterprise and the development of the rural areas
of Cambodia. RDB supports small and medium enterprise, community based association, and
micro entrepreneur in rural and urban. Its mission is defined as:

To finances Microfinance Institutions and Financial Institutions which have activities in supporting the rural economy. |

To negotiate with development partners in order to attract grants and concessional loan funds for expanding the bank’s operation |

To cooperate with financial institutions in extending credit for implementing the project in field of agriculture, rural development, and rural economy. |

To provide technical training to the Microfinance Institutions. |

To be able to provide loan for implementation the special project of the Gov’t or others with an agreement from the MEF. |

To be able to implement the loan project according to the request of dev’t partners while the MFIs do not implement. |
Objective
The corporate objective is
to be a profitable and self-sustaining financial institution providing finance
and financial and advisory
services
for the development and expansion of enterprise in any economic sector in the
rural and urban areas of Cambodia.
The maintenance of
profitability and viability is vital to increase the funds available to support
enterprise initiatives and, through growth in RDB's equity and its standing in
the market, reduce overall costs of borrowing for the clients.
Conduct
RDB's corporate objective has to be achieved within the framework of related laws
and sub-decrees.
RDB's operations are governed by its
establishing sub-decree.
The development of a balanced portfolio, diversified by
sub-sector, enterprise size, geographic location and product type is central to
the conduct of RDB's business. To this effect RDB will formulate short and
medium term goals within a rolling five-year corporate plan.
RDB is alert to the fact that its prime resource is its staff. RDB will ensure
that personnel skills are continuously upgraded and that excellence and achievement are
encouraged and rewarded.
RDB is increasingly conscious of the need to avoid
exposure to environmental risk and to be sensitive to environmental issues.
